Ancient Oceans Fossil Walk

Join us for a walk through the downtown area and learn about the unique geology that Flagstaff was built on. Our journey will begin in the Downtown Library Community Room and end at the Ice House building, where you can actually see marine fossils that tell a story from millions of years ago.

The walk to the Ice House is about a half mile, one way. Comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.

This program is presented by the Museum of Northern Arizona.

This event is part of our Summer Reading Challenge (SRC). Attending this event will give you a code to get points torwards your reaching your point goal. Remember you can use those points to get tickets for the many raffle prizes available! You don’t have to finish to get tickets.
