See and touch fossils from the ocean that used to cover Northern Arizona! Then, take a 0.4 mile walk to the historic ice house to see the fossils in its walls!
Join us for a walk through the downtown area and learn about the unique geology that Flagstaff was built on. Our journey will begin in the Downtown Library Community Room and end at the Ice House building, where you can actually see marine fossils that tell a story from millions of years ago.
The walk to the Ice House is about a half mile, one way. Comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen are recommended.
