Simon Says – Young Adults are Real Leaders at a Real Theatre Company
Simon Says Theatre empowers young artists to direct, stage manage, music direct, choreograph, design sets and costumes, become board members (known as our Leadership Team), and more.
Of course, artists of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to join our company! With that said, Simon Says Theatre recognizes that many young adults (18-35) have aged out of traditional youth theatre programs, but are still considered “too young” to hold meaningful leadership positions at other theatre companies. SST provides those leadership opportunities.
Simon Says – Director Forward
Aspiring directors pitch “Dream Show” proposals directly to the Leadership Team (our board). Our casting process is open, inviting, and welcoming. We never pre-cast character roles. We strive to invite individuals from diverse communities into our company, and we’re proud to say our Leadership Team features a majority of LGBTQ+ individuals.
