Thrive once again delivers to their devoted fans a shining compilation of musical jams, which embodies the classic island-beats of traditional reggae/rock, mixed with other uniquely blended musical genres, breaking the traditional reggae/rock mold in the most unique and contagious of fashions, with their soon-to-be released third album, Relentless.
The core beat of Relentless hints the traditional island essence, yet transcends a most intelligent ensemble of ska, r&b, rock and dub-step, with a dash of big-band, which is glued together by the band’s lyrically renowned songwriting skills and deliverance of original musical style. By bringing in new voices, such as well- known Eric Rachmany of Rebelution, their CD further drenches their debut hit Just Fine, in utmost irie-island wholesomeness.
The socially cognizant lead-vocalist/ songwriter Aaron Borowitz demonstrates positive world views through his lyrical antidotes, while poetically delivering his message with secondary lead-vocalist Kenny Rogers and band with inspiring, arm-waving sultry beats that are tantalizingly catchy and yet rhythmically divine.
From the picturesque Montbleu Resort in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, to the most-respected of reggae/rock festivals, California Roots Music & Arts Festival in Monterey, California, Thrive has a feverish following that has quickly wild-fired. The band has shared the stage with such artists as: Steel Pulse, SOJA, Rebelution, Kymani Marley, Katchafire, JBoog and Rootz Underground. They are currently touring, promoting their new album Relentless up and down the California coastline, which will be released in the latter part of May, 2013.
