Join Julie Anand and Damon Sauer, artists-in-residence at the Grand Canyon Conservancy in the summer of 2023.
The collaborative pair lived and worked on the South Rim for a month and synthesized this experience throughout Fall and Winter. They will be at the reception to discuss and share their works.
The artists explored ways of representing an ineffable and widely-seen landscape—withholding detail to preserve gravity—using strategies including video time-lapse, interviews, and photographic prints.
