Mystic Roots Band

Mystic Roots Band (MRB) is a Chico, CA born, 5 piece reggae band. When they relocated to Oceanside, CA in 2002 they continued to grow as musicians while earning their stripes as Pato Banton’s backing band creating a solid foundation as a respectable touring act.
As of 2010 the band is based back in Chico, CA pursuing their original music. With two feet solidly in reggae, the band seamlessly juggles elements of dancehall, Hip-Hop, EDM, pop, and a taste of rock. The band is always sharpening their evolving musical arrangements which is the "pasta over which they pour a delicious sauce" of vocal harmonies that are made richer by the groups female/male dynamic. Some say the Mystic Roots sound could be described as the reggae "Black-eyed Peas".
