This moderately difficult trail takes you through a section of the Kachina Peaks Wilderness and highlights the regions high forest and broad, sloping meadows. If monsoons arrive, this will be a good hike for wildflower and mushroom viewing! Plan on hiking 3-4 miles.

To get to the trailhead take US 180 ~7 miles northwest to Snowbowl Road (FR 516). Turn right. Drive ~7 miles to the ski area. Turn into the first parking lot on the right. The trailhead is located at the south (far) end of the parking lot.
