Jan 30th Part 1: Sexual Health Basics – January 30 @ 5:30 pm
How long has been since your last sex ed class? If you’re like most adults it’s been more than 15 years! Many of you may never have had one at all! Get a refresher in current, medically accurate, and inclusive sexual health information and learn ways to discuss that with your kids in an age-appropriate way. We will provide local resources for free and low cost sexual health and gender affirming health care for teens and adults.
Feb 6th Part 2: Healthy Relationships & Consent – February 6 @ 5:30 pm
Now that your knowledge of sexual health basics has been refreshed, we will discuss preventing intimate partner violence for youth and adults. We will look at the intricacies of consent, sexual development, body autonomy and empowerment, anatomy, pleasure, and the impact of pornography.
Feb 13th Part 3: THE Talk – February 13 @ 5:30 pm
This class will focus on how to take what you have learned in the last two lessons and translate that to a young person. You will examine your own values and how to be an ally and an advocate for your young people. We will practice role plays and go over resources.
