Resurgence of Wedgeweaves and Tech Inspired Weavings, by Marilou Schultz
Coming from a family of more than five generations of Navajo Weavers, I am inspired by the old Navajo weaving techniques and influenced by my surroundings and technology that I have created unique weavings. Through experimentation I have created three-dimensional wedgeweaves with a theme. I also have woven computer chip weavings and technology inspired weavings using QR codes which are interactive and other tech inspired rugs. With these creations I still use the traditional weaving techniques, tools, and upright loom that our ancestors used.
