Flagstaff Sustainability Leaders Course - Fall 2021

The Flagstaff Sustainability Leaders 8-week training program educates and equips participants to be sustainability leaders and advocates for climate action in the Flagstaff community.

During the course, participants learn about specific sustainability issues that face the Flagstaff community and work together to imagine solutions.  After the program, participants provide sustainability-oriented volunteerism to their community.

As a Flagstaff Sustainability Leader, you will have the opportunity to:

LEARN about climate change science and local impacts,
MEET local sustainability leaders through discussions and presentations,
SHARE what you learn with your community through effective communication, and
ACT on what you learn to inspire yourself and others to take sustainable action.

Fall 2021 Course

Dates: Every Thursday from 9/30/21 – 11/18/21, the exception being Wed. 11/10/21

Time: 5:30 – 8:30 pm

October 14 | Climate Justice- Equity, Vulnerability, & Collective Action
October 21 | Waste Minimization & Behavior Change
October 28 | Food Systems & Consumption
November 4 | Water, Energy, & Structural Change
November 10 (WEDNESDAY CLASS) | Sustainable Land Use & Transportation
November 18 | Review, Volunteer Requirements, & Celebrate

Cost: $50 (sliding scale offered based upon ability to pay – see application for details)
