• Pluto was discovered at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ in 1930.
• On October 24, 2001, Flagstaff was recognized as the world's First International Dark Sky City to preserve our natural night skies.
• The Coconino National Forest is home to the largest stand of Ponderosa Pine trees in the world!
• The famous Route 66 runs directly through Flagstaff.
