Disrupting Mining in Honduras

Anti-mining movements have put extractivism on the defensive in Honduras.‌ Why did mining production fail to expand in Honduras despite some of—if not the— most aggressive pro-extractive reforms on the continent?

Both existing theories of extractivism and social movements have difficulty explaining this outcome.
Interrogate the conflict between extraction, public health, and the environment with Nate Edenhofer of UCSC who has done extensive research on the subject as demonstrated in Honduras.
