Artists paint plein air at the Grand Canyon, then participate in a quick-draw and exciting live auction on Saturday, September 15.
25 artists are participating in this year's 10th Annual Celebration of Art at Grand Canyon National Park. All week, artists paint "en plein air" (outside on location) than participate in a quick-draw where they have two hours to capture the ever-shifting light of Grand Canyon on their canvases. The paintings are then immediately auctioned off live at Bright Angel Trailhead. The remaining pieces go on display at Kolb Studio for an exhibition and sale that lasts until January 21, 2019.
