Lowell42: How Faith And Science Mix

Lowell42: How Faith And Science Mix

Presented by Lowell Observatory at Lowell Observatory

Speaker: Dr. Christopher Corbally

We do not need to keep our reading of the Bible apart from our interest in science. The lives of a couple of fascinating Jesuits who were scientists show us how they made it all work together. And they were not alone!

Christopher Corbally is a Jesuit priest and research astronomer who works for the Vatican Observatory Research Group in Tucson. He helped build the Vatican Advanced Technology Telescope on Mount Graham, he probes the personalities of stars via their spectra, and with an anthropologist-biologist colleague, he investigates the development of human sentience.
