For the first time, a FREE Field Day with interactive activities for the whole family is scheduled for 3 – 5 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, at Buffalo Park.
Exploring the Universe in Daylight
New this year is the Flagstaff Star Party Field Day, a free interactive afternoon for all ages with solar viewing, planetary exploration, telescope making for kids, a hands-on migratory bird display, a station for creating Personal UV Detectors and walking tours of the U.S. Geological Survey Astrogeology Science Center to see Grover, (Geologic Rover) lunar rover simulator used to train the Apollo astronauts.
