Poetry Out Loud

This month, we will be reading selected poems from the 2020 Nobel Laureate in Literature, Louise Glück. “We dream; we don’t remember.”

Glück was awarded the Nobel Prize “for her unmistakable poetic voice that with austere beauty makes individual existence universal.” Often described as dark, Glück utilizes themes of fable, mythology, nature, motherhood, and memory to discuss family, relationships, mortality, and desire with the voice that conveys a rich and vast inner life.
