Canyon Movement Company & Sambatuque

Summer Nights on the Square presents Downtown Friday Nights featuring the Canyon Movement Company and Sambatuque.

Canyon Movement Company Inc., is a modern dance ensemble dedicated to sharing their passion and excitement with a growing audience by creating and presenting the art of dance through performance, education, and community and collaborative projects.

Sambatuque is a Brazilian-inspired community percussion troupe in Flagstaff, Arizona. They celebrate the traditional rhythms of Brazil, Africa, and Cuba, as well as the original music of master drummer Marcus Santos. Their concerts break the wall between musicians and audience – everybody can play music and dance!
