Scheduled for October 9th through the 13th this year, the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival highlights a collection of the most inspiring and thought-provoking social, environmental, and adventure-related outdoor films from around the world. Situated just one hour south of the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff’s high altitude desert setting makes a spectacular base for outdoor and film enthusiasts to get together and enjoy this unique environment along with high quality film entertainment.
Our 10th anniversary celebration features over 70 films from around the world, including sessions focused on local filmmakers, environmental issues, indigenous cultures and — for the first time — a dedicated shorts program. To showcase this diversity of films we have collaborated with 5 venues to provide unique and varied screening experiences.
In addition to screening works from filmmakers known and unknown from around the world, we are excited to once again screen films created by our very own Emerging Filmmaker Program. Started in 2009, the EFP enables and empowers local high-school students to work with professional filmmakers and create their own quality mountain films.
