The Era of Megafires

In addition to a short film centered on forest and fire management in the Flagstaff area, there will be a screening of “the Era of Megafires” written and narrated by Paul Hessburg, a distinguished fire and landscape ecology researcher for the USFS. Following the film the film there will be a panel discussion organized by Matthew Millar with the following experts:
Travis Wooley – Forest Ecologist, The Nature Conservancy
Dr. Pete Fule – Professor, School of Forestry, Northern Arizona University
Diane Vosick – Director of Policy and Partnerships, Ecological Restoration Institute
Mike Elson – District Ranger, Flagstaff Ranger District
Paul Summerfelt –Fire Management Officer, Flagstaff Fire Department, Wildland Fire Division
