The Northern Arizona Blues Alliance

Website: https://www.nazba.com/

Northern Arizona Blues Alliance’s (NAZBA) mission is to promote, teach, and advance Blues music through networking with fans, musicians, entertainment venues, promoters, other music and civic organizations and the community-at-large throughout the Sedona-Cottonwood, Verde Valley, Flagstaff and Prescott areas.

In addition to special events such as “Music Festivals”, “Harmonica Blowouts”, “Guitar Shootouts”, “Blues Jams”, and just plain having fun, the organization is a 501 c(3)registered non-profit corporation and the only Northern Arizona Affiliate of the Blues Foundation in Memphis, TN.

Our affiliation with the Blues Foundation enables our organization to host a local “International Blues Challenge”, (IBC) where the winners go to Memphis, TN, to compete against the best Blues bands and musicians in the country and from around the world. NAZBA is also permitted to send a local CD for consideration in the “Best Self-Produced CD” competition.

Locally, NAZBA currently sponsors a number of single and multiday events featuring national acts and local talent including: 2 outdoor Blues festivals at Watson Lake, the “Shades of Blue Revue”mini festival at the Mary Fisher Theater in Sedona, AZ, the “Red Rockin’ Blues Festival” in Sedona, AZ, the bi-monthly Blues Jam at the Old Corral in Cornville, and monthly Blues Jam at the Roadhouse 66 in Bellemont, AZ (just west of Flagstaff), our International Blues Challenge, hosted at various locations in Northern AZ, Acker Night in Prescott AZ, and much, much more!
