Book Signing at Meteor Crater

Presented by Meteor Crater at Meteor Crater

Experience the Impact 365 days a year when you pick up a signed copy of Meteor Crater’s very own visual novel after your visit on Sept. 3, 2016. Author Neal F. Davis will be at the crater from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. signing copies of his newly released novel “Images of America: Meteor Crater.”

Neal F. Davis is a freelance writer and native of neighboring Winslow, Arizona. Working with the Barringer family, the Bar T Bar Ranch, and the Meteor Crater Enterprises Board of Directors, among numerous others, Davis has assembled a visual story of the people who have shaped and continue to shape the future of the Barringer Meteor Crater.

The story covers some history of the Meteor Crater’s founding and the many people who have been, and presently are, associated with the custody and maintenance of the site, preserving it for future scientific study and generations of visitors. These people include geologists, astrophysicists, astronauts, generations of families named Barringer and Tremaine, and local ranchers named Chilson-Prosser. All have, and continue to, influence and shape what the site has become, each adding their signature to the famous landmark.

Today, these families, supported by Meteor Crater Enterprises management and staff of dedicated people, continue the legacy of sharing the history and science with 250,000 annual visitors from around the globe while they continue to focus on preserving the scientific integrity of the crater for future generations.
