Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival's 22nd Anniversary

Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival's 22nd Anniversary

Presented by Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival at The Orpheum Theater

Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival celebrates 22 years of the best in outdoor adventure, cultural, social, and environmental films from around the world. Our festival is one of about 50 mountain & adventure films across the world and aims to provide an alternative cinematic experience that inspires, educates, and fosters creative connections. There are currently around 12,000 film festivals around the world, so we are an incredibly unique festival, providing a window to the world.

This year we have films across three venues. The Orpheum Theater will host 40 films over five sessions, and we have added two adventure sessions for our community, turning shops into theaters for one evening. Join us at Flagstaff Climbing and Snow Mountain River ahead of the official fest launch and support independent filmmaking.

We Kick off on Friday evening with a Happy Hour with legendary climber, philanthropist, and speaker Timmy O'Neill. He will be screening his first film "Soundscape" that night at the theater.

Saturday is a day to listen to Indigenous Communities through art and activism. We will start the weekend with a free workshop and panel on uranium mining histed by Haul No! We will be hosting a free art show at The HeArtBox to honor the work of the late Baje Whitethorne, with guests moving to the theater for our 'Indigenous Voices' session to watch "Uniquely Blessed" a film about his work, his life, and all the artists within. We are excited to announce some live painting during this evening. We will also announce the winner of the Indigenous Filmmaker Grant.

Sunday marks the close of Women's History Month. Join us for 'The Power of Women' with eight films from all around the world followed by an author event  with Margo Steines & Nicole Walker at Bright Side Bookshop.

Stay tuned for the  LIVE program online in a few days!
