April 5th through April 14th, with our main festival weekend taking place the 12th-14th, the book festival will take place throughout Downtown Flagstaff with various streamed events.

Fostering literary community through the creation, publication, showcase, and investigation of contemporary literary arts from Northern Arizona, the Colorado Plateau, the American Southwest, and beyond.

Established in 1997, the Northern Arizona Book Festival (NOAZBF) is a literary nonprofit based out of Kinłání (aka the border town of Flagstaff, Arizona). It coordinates readings, panels, workshops, contests, and more that reflect the literary interests and cultural issues that define life in the Colorado Plateau region of Northern Arizona. As part of its regular programming, the NOAZBF includes the Indigenous Writers\\\' Symposium, Young Readers\\\' Festival, and Flagstaff Off-the-Page (FLG OTP, new in Fall 2021). Throughout the year, the NOAZBF collaborates with and/or supports the Northern Arizona Playwriting Showcase, the Northern Arizona University MFA Program, Cinder Skies Reading Series, Juniper House Reading Series, the Flagstaff Poetry Slam, Northern Arizona University VisualDesignLab, the McCallister Program for Community, Culture and Environment, Red Ink.,Thin Air Magazine, Carbon Copy, Curios, Eggtooth Editions, Tolsun Books, Salina Bookshelf, Abalone Mountain Press, Outspokin\\\' and Bookish, Poetry Out Loud, Kin\\\'Lani Bordertown Dormitory, the National Park Service, Northern Arizona Museum, and Bright Side Bookshop.

April 7th - Spoke & Word: A Bicycle Book Exchange - Meet at Drury Inn Parking Garage for a tour through campus featuring local poets.

April 8th - Open Mic Poetry at Awa Kava at 7:30 (All ages)

April 9th - Poet Brews: An Open Mic for Writers at 7 PM  at Flagstaff Brewing Company (21+)

April 10th - Flagstaff Slam Poetry at Yogaert Showcase! at 7 PM (All ages)

April 11th - NAU Thrives: Celebrating Thin Air Magazine with alumni at 5 PM at NAU Liberal Arts

April 11th - Cinder Skies: A High Desert Reading Series with Razi Shadmehry and Sarah Viren at Bright Side Bookshop at 7 PM

April 12th TBA - Keynote Reading

April 13th - All Day Heritage Square Book Fair & Literary Performances
