The Clothesline Project: Awareness Display for Sexual and Domestic Violence

The Clothesline Project: Awareness Display for Sexual and Domestic Violence

Presented by Northland Family Help Center at Heritage Square

The Clothesline Project is an awareness campaign for survivors of sexual and domestic violence and child abuse. The powerful display consists of many clotheslines of shirts by survivors of interpersonal violence and abuse with art, poetry and prose telling their stories.  In addition to the display, there will be two workshops at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., lasting 40 minutes each, about how to prevent violence and create safe, welcoming communities for everyone. NFHC and other social service agencies will be present to provide information and resources for victims, healthy relationships and violence prevention. Hosted by Northland Family Help Center, in honor of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Visit www.clotheslineproject.org to learn more about the campaign.
