A free monthly program at the Downtown Library featuring an interesting local individual, group, or organization with something to share! January 18: Al White–Local Politician, Disability Advocate, Life Enthusiast
Join former Flagstaff City Council member White as he discusses his decision to not only survive but to thrive after an accident left him to face life with paraplegia--a decision that led to greater disability awareness and improved accessibility for all.
"In 15 nightmarish seconds 26 years ago I was thrust into a future no one should have to face. Upon recovery and slow rehabilitation my choices were survive or flourish, I didn't want to consider any other alternative. I want to share that experience and the results with as many people as I can because the help of others--a caring community--was what made success possible." --Al White
