On Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 10 am, join a ranger for a Discovery Hike at Walnut Canyon National Monument located at 3 E Walnut Canyon Road. Hike into the back country of Walnut Canyon to explore a historic cabin that helped establish this site as a National Monument and learn about the history of how the cliff dwellings acquired protection. The hike is 2-miles round trip and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Participants should come prepared with water, sturdy hiking shoes, and layers of clothing for changing weather conditions.

Please note that a vehicle entrance fee of $25 is required to access the park. Valid America the Beautiful passes are accepted for park entrance and passes are available for sale at the entrance station. Discovery Hikes like the Ranger Cabin Walk enter locations within the park that are only accessible during ranger led Discovery Hikes.
