If your kids love creep crawlers, NAU Summer Bug Camp is a perfect choice.
Campers will learn about insect natural history and biodiversity through a series of fun projects and activities. Campers collect insects and create their own insect collections, make mazes for bugs, build their own insect and cook and eat insect cuisine during an open house for parents. The 2016 camps will be held at Willow Bend Environmental Center, which has partnered with NAU’s Colorado Plateau Museum of Arthropod Biodiversity to host the camps.
Each week-long summer camp is designed for children age 6 to 12.
All the supplies needed for camp activities will be provided. Campers provide their own snacks, lunch, summer clothing and sunscreen.
