Dr. Deidre Hunter and Haylee Archer will join Lowell Historian Kevin Schindler to share how they’ve explored tiny dwarf galaxies with the Lowell Discovery Telescope.
While the Milky Way Galaxy contains several hundred billion stars, dwarf galaxies have only 1,000 to a few billion. To better understand these diminutive families of stars and how they form, scientists use some of the world’s most powerful instruments, such as the Lowell Discovery Telescope.
This free program will also be available to watch via a livestream feed on Lowell Observatory’s YouTube channel.
