Flagstaff Folk Festival

Flagstaff Folk Festival

Presented by Flagstaff Friends of Traditional Music at Museum Club

This year we will again be at the Museum Club on June 18 and 19.  We have three stages, a workshop area and a jamming area.   As an added attraction, on Saturday June 18 we have Gary Allegretto’s “Play Folk Harmonica Instantly” workshop. There is a $20 fee for this workshop which includes a new Hohner harmonica and music booklet.

Gary is the 2019 International Western Music Association (IWMA) Performer of the Year. Gary is the best harmonica player you will likely ever hear, a remarkable singer, songwriter, guitarist and a masterful entertainer. With 2 Grammy nominations, and a Will Rogers Award, his music has topped the Blues, Roots and Western radio charts, and featured in motion pictures.

On Sunday we will once again have the Family Jug Band Jam.  This session is designed for your children and you.  The only point of this workshop is to allow the youngsters an opportunity to have fun with music.  We have kazoos and harmonicas for you to keep.  We’ll provide bucket drums, a washboard, and shakers for you to use.  Join us for a noisy hour of fun as the kids and you make music.  The Museum Club is located at 3404 E Route 66.   Join us for this music event featuring a huge variety of musicians, many of them local. Suggested donation is $5 per person per day.
