Before opening it up to discussion, Don will put his book in context, in what it means to be a "cultural history", in how it fits in with ongoing trends in thinking and writing about history (revisionist vs. postmodernist, for example) without being too academic.  Don will have a limited supply of books for sale and will gladly sign copies.

If time and interest permit, he will also talk about his book on John Wesley Powell and what went into that, and how previous Powell historians have left whole realms of research untouched and repeated the same mistakes.
