4R Virtual Conference: Resilience, Resistance, Renovation, Rebirth

4R Virtual Conference: Resilience, Resistance, Renovation, Rebirth

Presented by Northern Arizona University, College of Arts and Letters at Online/Virtual Space

2021 was not the year we had hoped. SARS-CoV-2 is still with us and has continued to force us to adapt and create a new normal as we go. Considering how has 2021/22 changed us, what is this normal now in the sciences, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics? What has happened to your work, research, and lives that would not have happened without the interruption of the SARS-CoV-2 virus? How was the pandemic a spark for innovation for that cultural change, poem, industrial design, theorem, performance, medical discovery, or whatever you and your team have discovered? Looking ahead, where do you see yourself taking this idea?
None of us are the same as we were 24 months ago. Over 2 days 16 international speakers and artists will give their perspective on how the pandemic changed their lives, work, and communities. From how a university in Eswatini had to adapt to the pandemic, to how the pandemic has provided new opportunities to those with disabilities, to how the pandemic made issues of mental health more visible a wide array of different perspectives, cultures, and ideas will be on display.
