FALA is proud to celebrate our 25th anniversary as a school and active member of our community.
Please join us for a weekend full of fun, good food, student and alumni performances, and reignite your connections with FALA. Celebrations will start April 8th and last through the 10th at Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA) and the Flagstaff Arts & Leadership Academy campus. See below for more details.
FRIDAY NIGHT: 5 – 7 PM at CCA: The FALA Indigenous Youth Club kicks off this weekend-long event with an honoring event followed by an informal mixer event. Live piano music will be provided by FALA’s music teacher Chase Coleman, as well as a fine arts gallery show, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Consider this an alumni mixer, open to current students, families, faculty, and members of the community.
SATURDAY DAY: 10 AM – 4 PM at CCA: Join us for a day of FALA Performing Arts and a Fine Arts shows with current and alumni FALA students . Included will be theatre, musics, dance, performances, gallery shows and art sales.
SATURDAY EVENING 6 PM – 9 PM at CCA: This is the main event to CELEBRATE the 25th Anniversary with a stand-up dinner, drinks, and live music. FALA Founder, Karen Butterfield, and current Executive Director, Eli Cohen, will give brief speeches.
SUNDAY 10 AM – 3 PM at FALA: This will be a family friendly indoor/outdoor brunch for FALA Alumni, Faculty, Staff, Alumni Faculty and Staff. This event will include brunch offerings, tours of campus, and possible alumni performances. Children are welcome. Closing ceremony will be performed by the FALA Religious Studies Club.
FALA continues to be a major space for art and critical thinking within Flagstaff and further. At 25, we’re thankful for the wonderful community and alumni that support current and future students. We strive to bring the best through supporting students in all aspects of their academic and artistic endeavors. From hands-on learning in our classrooms to being out in the community on service learning projects to outdoor explorations in this wondrous mountain town we call home, we thank you for your support that has made these past 25 years possible!
