The Flagstaff Police Department Community Liaison Committee will hold first community gathering at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Murdoch Center, 203 E. Brannen Ave., Flagstaff.

The event will allow the community to: 

Meet the volunteer members of your new committee
Receive a brief year-to-date update on crime statistics from the Flagstaff Police Department
Hear a brief presentation by community members of the committee on their efforts to develop a strategic plan for the new organization including plans for regular neighborhood meetings and procedures for exchanging information, concerns
Enjoy a diversity of desserts and hot beverages courtesy of members of the committee
