Introduction to Cyanotype Printmaking
Creative Workshop at The HeArt Box

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. Join artist, Lauren Sarantopulos, featured artist for November as she takes you through this process. We will create cyanotypes outside under the sun and all materials will be provided to create your own artwork. Natural, found objects work best. You may bring your items to print from, we will also have some items provided. This is a fun technique to learn and you can do it at home.

Friendly, small group setting. Step-by-step instruction with room for your personal creativity.
All levels are welcome, including absolute beginners. Ages 16 and up
Cost per person: $65 (includes all materials).
