Join the NAU Wind Symphony for their return to live performances on Friday, October 15th at 7:30pm in Ardrey Auditorium!
The NAU Wind Symphony honors Flagstaff's nickname with "A City of Seven Wonders", with each of the pieces in the program celebrating or commenting upon an aspect of the beautiful area around us. Professors Doug Brown (bassoon) and Ricardo Pereira (tenor) will be joining us on a beautiful concerto by James Stephenson, and mezzo-soprano student, Sydney Murrell, will perform as part of a world premiere of a piece composed by our own graduate student, Shannon Spark. You also do not want to miss Steven Bryant's monumental work, Ecstatic Waters, for wind ensemble and electronics! We have collaborated with the School of Forestry, Zion National Park, and Grand Canyon National Park as part of this event, and each audience member will receive a stunning photo by local photographer Adam Schallau, from his black and white series of the Grand Canyon.
