Actors Wanted for Live Theatre

Theatrikos seeks experienced and new actors for our holiday production.  Diverse actors from all walks of life are encouraged to audition.

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus: A Live Radio Play in Two Acts will be performed live with an in-person audience at Theatrikos. Directed by Amelia Swann.

All Roles Open

* 12-15 actors

* Ages 10-80

* All genders

* All ethnicities

* 1-2 sound person(s)

Some actors will be cast in multiple roles, so the ability to affect different dialects/accents is helpful, but not required. We are also looking for 1-2 sound person(s) who would be comfortable doing the live on-stage sound effects.

Audition Format

For Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus: A Live Radio Play, actors will be asked to read select scenes from the script.  All levels of experience are welcome. We love discovering new talent!

Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus: A Live Radio Play

“Is there a Santa Claus?” eight year old Virginia O'Hanlon wrote in a letter to the New York Sun newspaper in 1897.  The newspaper's heartfelt reply, printed on the front page and written by a reporter struggling with the death of his wife, has been part of American Christmas folklore for more than 100 years.  “The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see.”  Based on a true story.

1st Sunday Drama Club

Those interested in reading the full Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus: A Live Radio Play script and chatting with the director are invited to 1st Sunday Drama Club at the theatre.
