LGBT+ Book Club

Presented by East Flagstaff Community Library at Online/Virtual Space

Teens & adult participants will be encouraged to engage with one another, opening up possibilities of mentorship between the generations. Conversations will be facilitated, leading participants to their own answers while gaining diverse insights.

We are pleased to be offering this program in partnership with several supportive community organizations whose logos will be featured next to their book selection!

The book The Black Flamingo by Dean Atta is recommended for ages 14+. It is a fierce coming-of-age verse novel about identity and the power of drag. Told with raw honesty, insight, and lyricism, this debut explores the layers of identity that make us who we areā€”and allow us to shine.

Books are available by library check-out, digital e-book, digital audiobook, AND book club lending. Looking for a copy? Call 928-213-2348 to request it to be set aside OR visit the East Flagstaff Community Library and ask for a copy at the desk.

Book club meetings will be over Zoom, until further notice. Please email efclstaff@flagstaffpubliclibrary.org for the zoom information.
