Master Weaver Aric Chapito will explore the Zuni collections, talking about some of his weavings that are in the collections as well as some of the older weavings and objects.
Master weaver Aric Chopito will give a virtual tour with Anthropology Collections Manager Tony Thibodeau of MNA’s Zuni weaving collection, including several of his own weavings. Chopito will foster understanding for the traditional process used to create various Zuni weavings like turkey feather blankets and sashes. Chopito will also discuss the influence of trade routes and the migration of material.
