"A Midsummer Night’s Dream" and "Hamlet"- FlagShakes

Presented by Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival at Pepsi Amphitheater at Fort Tuthill Park

Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival presents…

A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet

By William Shakespeare

Fort Tuthill Pepsi Amphitheater

July 8-11, 15-18

Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival is back and better than ever! We are celebrating the return of live theatre with a power-house summer season, featuring two of Shakespeare’s most famous and beloved plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Hamlet. We cannot wait to celebrate the performing arts with our community, in person! This summer, FlagShakes is making the jump to a beautiful outdoor venue, the Fort Tuthill Pepsi Amphitheater! The amphitheater is open air, surrounded by stunning evergreen trees, and has plenty of space for social distancing.

What's better than Midsummer in the mid-summer? A Midsummer Night’s Dream has it all: love, comedy of errors, magic, and fairies! Follow four lovers as they get lost in the forest, are tormented by fairies, and discover their true loves. Midsummer is a comedic favorite, but Hamlet may be one of Shakespeare's most famous plays...and perhaps one of the most famous plays, well, ever! Come out to see Hamlet and experience the age-old story of the grieving prince of Denmark, as he navigates love and loss.

Both plays share an all-star company of 11 actors, including FlagShakes favorites as well as a few new faces, and are directed by renowned Shakespeare director Jim Warren, back again after directing our Twelfth Night last December. On the two-show-day Saturday's, patrons are encouraged to pack a picnic and enjoy the grassy area while they wait between the performances.

Tickets are on sale now at flagshakes.org!
