The Guidance Center is now enrolling participants in Strengthening Families, a free seven-week program for children ages 10-14 and their parents or caregivers. The program will be held at The Guidance Center on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. from September 15 through October 27.  Applications are being accepted through September 4.

Strengthening Families is designed to help parents develop strategies for showing love and limits, help youth develop skills in handling peer pressure, and help families grow together. In communities across the country, Strengthening Families has produced positive results and worked to build resiliency, respect, and responsibility through a structured and supportive family environment.

Enrollment in the Strengthening Families program is required by September 4 and space is limited to fourteen families. A free meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. to participating families and child care will be available during the program.
