Women Who Brew: Megan Greenwood

Women Who Brew: Megan Greenwood

Presented by Arizona Historical Society at Arizona Heritage Center

Did you know that women have been brewing beer for thousands of years? Today, the field is largely dominated by men, but women-owned breweries are increasing across the United States. Join us on Thursday, February 18 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. for an online history happy hour with Megan Greenwood, founder of Greenwood Brewery. Explore the history of brewing and how women are breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry. Megan Greenwood is featured in the current exhibition "Still Marching: From Suffrage to #MeToo" at the Arizona Heritage Center at Papago Park. She began her brewery in 2017, and one of her flagship beers is "Herstory Brew", which supports empowerment, confidence, and inclusivity for women who make history every day. In 2020 she opened Greenwood Brewing in downtown Phoenix.
