NAU Latin American Studies presents a lecture by Johnathan Vaknin examining the relationship between illness and time in Sarduy's final novel, Pájaros de la playa, often said to be an allegory of HIV/AIDS.

Dr. Vaknin is Assistant Professor in the University of Arizona’s Latin American Cultural Studies and affiliated faculty at the Institute for LGBTQ+ Studies.
