Climate Change: What's Gender Got To Do With It?

Climate Change: What's Gender Got To Do With It?

Presented by North Arizona Climate Change Alliance at Online/Virtual Space

Dr. Frances Julia Riemer will examine the higher risks and greater burdens on women from the impacts of climate change and the ways in which unequal participation in decision-making processes and labor markets compound these effects and prevent women from fully contributing to climate-related planning, policy-making, and implementation.

Dr. Frances Julia Riemer is Professor of Educational Foundations and Associate Faculty, former Director of Women’s and Gender Studies Program at Northern Arizona University. She focuses on change and issues of equity and access, gender, development and sustainable communities, as well as cultural differences and social organizations of community, school, and workplace.
