Art in Action: Locked Up: Pain and Resilience

Presented by Church of the Epiphany at Church of the Epiphany

Featuring work by incarcerated artists, this exhibit celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the power of art to comfort, heal, and rehabilitate.

First Friday events feature music and a buffet of appetizers and bring experts in the field to share stories and information to raise awareness of the exhibit's topic.

November 1:

6:00 music by Brad and Deb

7:00: "The Impact of Incarceration," with Khalil Rushdan and representatives of the  Arizona Justice Project at ASU, and Arizona Faith Network.

 

December 6:

6:00 music by Shawn Dennehy and Matt Sarnoski

7:00: "Justice in Coconino County " Panel includes: Coconino County Sheriff Jim Driscoll,The Hon.Fanny Steinlege, Judge, Mental Health court,  Sixto Valdivia, Recovery Court Coordinator, Detention Center Program Manager, Jim Bret, and Exodus counselor Michael Vaughn
