Planning Meeting

Canyon Arts Festival Launch: April 23-25, 2021

With a lot of advance planning, and relatively little effort, we can
1) increase attendance at arts events and
2) drive business to Flagstaff.

Arts organizations (performing arts, fine arts, culinary arts, educational arts, all arts!) and the businesses that partner with them are welcome to participate in Canyon Arts Festival. We will all coordinate our schedules and create programming related to the Grand Canyon. Or maybe all canyons? Or generally Northern Arizona maybe. We get to decide. It’s early yet and we are still creating.
The first Canyon Arts Festival will take place over a long weekend (Thursday to Sunday maybe) in the latter half of April 2021. And in perpetuity every April after that.

In the previous planning meetings for Canyon Arts Festival, we planted the seed for a beautiful and efficient coordinated effort among the city’s arts organizations. Organizations in Flagstaff attending were:

The next public planning meeting will be Wednesday, October 9 at 5:15 pm at Theatrikos. Thereafter the planning meetings will be held monthly on first Wednesday of the month at 4 pm.
Come get in on the ground floor and help create the new Canyon Arts Festival.
