The NAU Art Museum will present an exciting, historically important exhibition of American painting and sculpture from the 1930s and 1940s.
Enduring America: Selections from the Collection of Art and Peggy Hittner reflects the impulse among American artists to capture the strengths and values that shaped our richly varied regional cultures. In a period of climatic and economic disasters, these works of art -- comforting evocations of family, community, shared labor and shared prosperity -- provided a spiritual and psychological map through which we might find our way out of our nation's difficulties.
Reception is April 9th from 5 - 7 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public with a suggested $2 per person donation.
