April 28 is the date set for the ribbon cutting of northern Arizona’s first Dream Court, a new state-of-the-art basketball court that will be a safe haven for community youth to play with peers and police officers.
Nancy Lieberman Charities, in partnership with Sport Court and the Unites States Tennis Association, has teamed up with the City of Flagstaff Police Department and Bridge Church to provide a brand-new Dream Court to the community of Flagstaff. The Dream Court will be located at the Boys and Girls Club of Flagstaff, 301 S. Paseo Del Flag.
On Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m. there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the basketball court’s opening. Charity founder and Naiismith Memorial Baskerball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman will be in attendance, as well as Mayor Coral Evans, Chief of Police Kevin Treadway, Pastor Landon Merrill and more.
Dream Courts are top-quality, multi-purpose play spaces built in undeserved communities to give children a safe area to shoot hoops, socialize and learn about team work and good sportsmanship. To date, Nancy Lieberman and Sport Court have provided 77 courts nationwide.
