High Altitude Roller Derby is looking for new members! No skating experience? No problem! We will teach you the basics of roller skating. How to skate forwards and backwards, stopping, and falling will be covered.
For this information session, we will talk about skating, roller derby, and what to expect while being in Fresh Meat. We will also distribute rental gear if you do not have your own. If time allows, we will put on our skates and gear and begin skating!
This event is FREE to attend, 18+ only and photo ID is required. Helmets, skates, and protective gear will be provided, but it is encouraged to bring your own! Single Track Bikes, one of our amazing sponsors, sells mouthguards, helmets, protective gear, and Riedell brand skates!
This may be one of the best things you will have ever tried. If skating isn't your thing, but you still want to be apart of your local team, we have opportunities for skating and non-skating volunteers, such as referees, coaches, announcers, photographers, media, and more!
