Ten local artists interpret the theme, “Peace and Reconciliation,” in the current exhibit at the Open Doors: Art in Action Gallery located in the Church of the Epiphany. Participating artists in this juried, mixed media show are Kathi Baron, Kathie Betts, Rebecca Durrenberger, Alice Hagerman, Ed Kabotie, Janet Miller, Jill Sans, Sarah Westphal, Rachel Wilson, and Philippa Jane Winkler.

To commemorate the International Day of Peace, the gallery is hosting a reception, Friday, September 21, from 6-8pm. The event will feature a buffet of appetizers representing various culinary traditions donated by local restaurants, music by Marvin Toya, and a panel discussion on techniques to achieve inner peace, interpersonal harmony, and a safe and secure world.

The exhibit runs from September 14- October 24. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 9-12, and 1-4, Friday, 1-4, and Sunday, 8-12:30. The public is also invited to view the exhibit during the October 6 ArtWalk.
