“Good Karma Tuesday” benefits the Museum of Northern Arizona

Good Karma Tuesday will benefit the Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA), a private nonprofit founded in 1928. The museum’s mission is to inspire a sense of love and responsibility for the beauty and diversity of the Colorado Plateau through collecting, studying, interpreting, and preserving the region’s natural and cultural heritage.

MNA is one of the great regional museums, surrounded by tremendous geological, biological, and cultural resources in one of the most spectacular landscapes. The museum’s research programs in art and science have contributed significantly to the scholarly understanding of the natural and cultural history of the Colorado Plateau. MNA’s Discovery Program provides enriching educational classes for children, which use art and science to introduce students to new disciplines, and encourage interest and exploration of their outdoor surroundings.

MNA’s Heritage Festivals celebrate Zuni, Hopi, Navajo and local Hispanic cultures and encourage cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. MNA is also the primary location for cultural and scientific collections from the Colorado Plateau with approximately 250,000 cataloged artifacts.
